The SwapTop™ 8" Flat Lap is the most affordable full-featured flat lap glass polishing set up on the market. With 75% more diamond surface than the 6” Flat Lap Machine, the new 8” version is a glass worker’s dream come true.

SwapTop™ Flat Lap Key Features:

  The work surface and splash guard have been totally redesigned to allow access to the outermost edge of the disks which facilitates grinding and polishing of the largest possible pieces. The redesigned work surface will accept both 6” and 8” laps.

  The SwapTop™ Flat Lap can be used to shape and polish a range of glass projects. Use it to shape and finish flame worked beads, hot glass projects, kiln worked projects and fused glass pieces.

The motor is encased in a cleverly designed base that allows it to operate with the motor shaft either vertically or horizontally. And you can add the other options whenever you want by purchasing the conversion kit. Do the work of several individual machines at a fraction of the cost and free up your work space.

Accessory Items:

• Diamond Laps: Our laps are replacement disks which you would use with a "Master lap" (casting). They have a 1/2" arbor hole for mechanically affixing to the master lap. Diamond laps are available in 60, 100, 170, 275, 325, 600, 1200, and 3000 grit diamond.
• Master Lap: A Solid acrylic backer for smooth operation that can be used with any Flat Lap Machine having a 1/2" arbor. Inland no. 436001
