THE SQUIRT
User Guide

Thank you for purchasing The Squirt™ coolant pumping system by Inland. It is simple to install and easy to use. It will make glass grinder faster and less tiresome.

Here's what's included with The Squirt

* Please Note: When the Squirt™is used on a Wiz™ or Wizling™ grinder, a standard WB-1 grinder can be used but you not be able to utilize the ¼" of diamond grinding surface. The WB-1 Squirt Bit™, used with The Squirt™ will allow complete utilization of the diamond grinding surface. This WB-1 Squirt Bit™ should only be used with The Squirt™ coolant pump system.

How to Install The Squirt™

Step 1: Remove all accessories from your grinder.
Step 2: Thoroughly clean reservoir
Step 3: Apply adhesive pad to bottom of pump housing.
Step 4: Slide propeller over motor shaft and push down until propeller arms are almost, but not quite touching reservoir surface.
Step 5: Insert one end of hose section snuggly into pump housing.
Step 6: Remove remaining adhesive pad protector and place pump housing into reservoir. Be sure to center the pump housing over the propeller and direct the hose towards the rear of the reservoir. Then firmly push the pump hosing against the reservoir.
Step 7: With lead nippers, remove that portion of the bottom of the BitSert that interferes with the pump housing. You will be removing approximately ¼" of the tree sided overhand.
Step 8: While replacing open grid top, feed loose end of hose section through and opening within two or three squares of the BitSert.
Step 9: Install bit. Use only WB-1, WB-8, WB-9 (Wizard only), WB-15 (Wizard only), and WB-17. Do not use Invisible Sponge type bits.
Step 10: Fill reservoir with clean water and router coolant if desired.
Step 11: Feed hose section through hose guide and push hose guide into open grid top. The hose guide has four hose height positions and it can be located anywhere on the open grid top. Adjust and locate the hose guide so a maximum amount of water with a minimum amount of overspray is provided by the bit.
Maintenance
When you are finished using the grinder, be sure to thoroughly clean reservoir, pump housing and hose section of glass slurry residue.

Please Note
A set screw and allen wrench are provided with The Squirt™. These can be used if needed, to regulate the flow of water. To use, simply screw the set screw into the maroon hose guide at the same level the hose section is located. Then, by tightening the set screw against the hose section, the flow of water will be reduced. You may find that as you grind, the glass slurry will further reduce the flow of water. It then will be necessary the loosen the set screw so the water can move more freely through the hose section.

Overspray will be evident when using The Squirt™, especially when directing the water flow towards the WB-8 or WB-17 bits. It is recommended that a Work Station and apron be used to keep the overspray contained.

Troubleshooting
If The Squirt™ doesn't work:

  1. Make sure there is enough water in the reservoir
  2. Make sure the pump hosing and/or hose section is clean and free of heavy glass slurry residue.
  3. Check the hose section for any bends or restrictions.
