SUPERJET™ Cooling System
User Instructions

Compatibility

The Inland SuperJet™ Cooling System is designed to fit most grinders with an open grid surface. Refer to the diagram here for the proper peg location to fit your grinder. peg placment

  1. Find your grinder in the list below.
  2. To anchor it to your grid top, place one of the three small pegs included into the appropriate hole.
  3. Glastar® machines do not need a peg for the freehand work surface platform
INLAND GLASTAR® - requires alternate impeller, Inland no. 50003G sold separately. Safety
  1. Always wear eye protection when grinding or drilling
  2. Gloves are recommended for hole drilling.
Installation
  1. Place a piece of scrap glass flat on the bottom of the water reservoir of your grinder up against the molded motor tube that surrounds the motor shaft.
  2. Press the impeller down over the motor shaft and onto the motor tube until it touches the glass.
  3. Install your 3/4" bit onto the motor shaft upside down until it hits the impeller. Tighten the set screw onto the flat side of the motor shaft. Remove the scrap of glass.
  4. You can place a smaller grinding / drilling bit (1/8", 1/4" or 3/8") into the open end of your 3/4" bit once it is in place. Loosen the set screw just enough for it to slide over the shaft but tight enough to keep it in place so that the bit cannot spin freely. Do not over tighten the bit. Adjustment of the smaller bit's set screw must be done while the bit is removed from the machine. You may notice some play in the bit. This is normal and will have no effect when the grinder is operating.
  5. Fill the reservoir of your grinder with coolant and replace the grid top
  6. Place the SuperJet™ work surface you want to use over the bit.
Operating Instructions Helpful Hints
  1. If a white powder forms around the bit as you grind or drill, check the coolant reservoir and add coolant if needed and/or make sure the impeller is positioned properly..
  2. To use this kit with older style Wiz™ and Wizling™ models with "ribbed" work surfaces you will need to remove the molded sponge holder for the reservoir using a pair of lead nippers.
  3. To use this kit with Glastar® G12 Superstar II and G14 Diamondstar, it may be necessary to enlarge the opening in the grid surface around the bit to 1 1/4".
  4. For Glastar® G3, G4, G6, and G8 Allstar models, you will need the Glastar® impeller, Inland no. 5003G and you will need to pull the upper surface pumping piece off of the motor shaft.
  5. The SuperJet™ will cannot be used with the Glastar® Starlet.
